TGen Bioinformatics Computational Biology Research Unit

TGen's Bioinformatics Computational Biology Research Unit creates software and methods to help scientists use public and private data sources to advance their research.

Current projects include:

  • Tandemizer - Tandemizer is an extensible, flexible Java tool that allows visualization of whole-genome arrangement among many genomes based upon TABs, with correlations to GenBank annotations for genes and other features, and drill-down to the sequence level for single-nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) analysis
  • Coordsinator - Coordsinator is a Java tool to find unique and deletion signatures between sets of whole genomes.

Comments are always welcome so if you have suggestions about information or features you'd like to see implemented on this site, please contact Dr Stephen Beckstrom-Sternberg.
